DIGITAL PRODUCTS

DELIVERY

Once you complete your payment for a digital sewing pattern or basic block pack, you will automatically be directed to an order summary where you can download your digital product. You will also receive an email containing a link to download your sewing pattern or basic block pack. You can access your downloads at any time by navigating to the My Account > My Downloads page. Please note that you will need to be logged in to your account first.

We provide you with 5 attempts to download your digital product. If for some reason you need more attempts, please email us at info@designlab.london

SEWING PATTERN PACKS:
Our sewing pattern packs contain the patterns produced as a multipage PDF in the size range advertised. Please note that the size range can vary between products. The sewing pattern pack also contains instructions on how to create the garment from the pattern. You will need Adobe Reader to view and print your PDF pattern.

To print the pattern, it is very important to ensure that it comes out the right size. In print settings, select “actual size” or “set scaling to 100%” or “turn off scaling” to print the pattern at full scale. Set the orientation to “portrait”. Print page 1 of the pattern first and measure the scale in either cm or inches (located at the top of the page) to check that the scale is correct. If it is a few mm out, adjust the scaling on your printer settings and try again before printing the rest of the pattern.

To print the instructions, select “scale to fit” or “fit” in the print settings – this will ensure that it prints properly whether you’re using A4 or US Letter size paper.

Now to assemble the pattern – this will take about 20 minutes. Cut along the edge of the page using the edge of the diamond-shaped registration marks. One long side and one short side on each sheet. Align the little triangles to match up the pages. Each page is labeled in sequence at the top of the page: A1, A2, A3, etc. The next row down is labeled: B1, B2, B3, etc. Glue or tape the pages together. BASIC BLOCK PACKS:
Our basic block packs contain the basic block in a range of sizes (UK4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 & 22) nested on one page. These nested patterns are stored in the pack in one of two formats. Please note, these pattern packs are designed for pattern cutters and advanced users, therefore they do not come with instruction sets. 

  • Editable digital patterns: These come as fully editable, nested, digital patterns saved in SVG & Ai format. These file types are compatible with Adobe IllustratorInkscape and CorelDRAW to name but a few.
  • Printable patterns: These come as non-editable, nested, multipage PDF patterns similar to our Sewing pattern packs. They are available in A0, A3, A4 & US Letter PDF paper sizes. Please follow the instructions for PDF Sewing pattern packs (mentioned above) to view, print and assemble your patterns. 

Open the PDFs, preferably, in Adobe Reader as it’s the PDF reader most likely to print the pattern to the correct scale – you can download Adobe Reader for free here.

RETURNS

We hope you enjoy your digital sewing pattern or basic blocks. Please review product information carefully before purchase – due to the instant nature of their format, once you have downloaded or started to download a digital pattern or basic block, the right to return is limited. The process of downloading a digital order is usually started by clicking on the download link sent in the order email, whether or not you open the downloaded files.

If there is a fault with the product, you have the right to request a repair or replacement – please get in touch if you believe this is the case. If we can’t fix it within a reasonable time, we will offer you a full or part refund.

If you change your mind or would like to return the digital product for another reason, we will offer refunds or exchanges within 14 days of your order only if you have not started downloading your order.

To return a digital product, please download and fill in this Cancellation Form and email it to us at info@designlab.london. We reserve the right to refuse any refunds on non-faulty products where we can see that the download link has already been accessed.

PHYSICAL PRODUCTS

DELIVERY

All of our fabric is printed specifically to your order. This allows us to offer multiple fabric options for your chosen print but prevents us from keeping stock, which in turn slows down delivery times. Prices start at £5.00 for delivery and take 5-7 working days for 20 meters or less. Orders over 20 meters can take up to 8-10 working days to be delivered.

DELIVERY OPTIONS
DesignLab ships to the UK, Europe and the Rest of the World. We are steadily increasing the number of countries that we ship to, to ensure that everyone has access to our printed fabric. The shipping rates will be calculated by your order quantity, the destination of the shipment, the type of product you order and the method you chose to ship by.

 

 

Please note that while we try our best to ensure that your deliveries are shipped on time, once we have shipped the goods, the shipment is out of our control. If you have shipped with a tracked courier company, we will provide you with the details for you to track the shipment directly.

For international shipments, please allow some additional time for customs clearance in your chosen country.

RETURNS

Once you have placed your order you have until the end of the day (6:30 pm GMT) to cancel your order and receive a full refund. If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us immediately at info@designlab.london.

Printed fabric can not be returned, unless faulty.

If there is a fault or a mistake on your order, we are more than happy to help you resolve it. If you have any issues or queries about our delivery costs or our returns policy, please email us at info@designlab.london and we will do all we can to help you.

ADDITIONAL INFO

Refunds on physical products will be issued to the original method of payment once the returned items are received and within 14 days from the date of cancellation. If you can provide proof of postage by email, we can issue a refund before the returned items are received. We cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or damaged in transit.

We recommend that you insure the return shipment as you are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods and will be liable for damage to them until we receive them. We also recommend that you use a secure, trackable shipper and that you retain proof of sending.

For international returns, please clearly mark ‘BRITISH RETURN GOODS’ on the description to avoid paying unnecessary charges.

All items must be returned with all tags, where applicable, in their original condition.

We will refund the full value of your order, within 14 days of receiving your return.

Please note, card refunds may take up to 10 business days for your bank to complete, depending on their processing time. This can vary greatly between card issuers, and unfortunately, we are unable to influence this.

PayPal refunds will go into your PayPal account and take 3-5 days to clear.

Unfortunately, we are not able to carry out direct exchanges for different items.
